My name is Gary Maddison and I would like to introduce to you an exciting weight management program that is completely different than anything that you may have tried before.

The reason this program is different is because it takes into account the reasons why most people are overweight.  For example most people who are overweight will often:

Eat according to external cues, not internal hunger signals.

Eat for emotional comfort, regarding food as an antidote for any kind of emotional distress.

Prefer sweet and fattening foods over those that offer balanced nutrition.

Reward themselves with food.

bullet

Place little value on physical activity and are not motivated to exercise.

Maintain a self-image as an overweight person and eat accordingly.

Plan social activities around food.

bullet

Overeat because they do not understand correct portion size, do not control their portions, or both.  They overeat beyond the point were other people would feel quite full and satisfied.  They do not experience or do not attend to the sensations of a full stomach.

Eat unconsciously while doing other things-watching television, reading a book, or talking on the phone.

Programs that do not take a number of these factors into consideration are going to have only limited success.  Limited in either the amount of weight you lose or how long you can keep it off.  Permanent weight loss occurs with a change in lifestyle, not through unnatural diets that are impossible to maintain.

A common problem When You Lose Weight

If you have dieted for years, you probably know the powerful motivation you feel when you first start out. Your weight loss goal is clear. You are determined to achieve it, and nothing is going to stop you!

For the first few weeks, you stick to your plan - and your weight loss is exciting! You feel that this time, your weight loss will be permanent, and you will reach your goal.

But, as time goes on, your weight loss slows down and you may even gain a bit of weight.  And sadly, you don't feel quite as motivated as before. Old habit patterns start to slip in here and there, and your calorie intake begins to increase bit by bit.  You then begin to think "Well that's it, I've ruined it now," and the diet is blown out of the water.

The problem with many weight loss programs and dieting clubs, is not that their plans don't work, but rather that most people aren't willing to work the plans over an extended period of time.
